The unique Tunnels Beaches provide bathing areas with secluded beaches and pools, accessed through tunnels quarried beneath the cliffs, whilst the pretty cove of Hele Bay is a paradise of rock pools and sandy inlets for that perfect day out. Visitors can enjoy spectacular coastal walking from the door, and both horse riding and golf are available within 1 mile as are boat trips to Lundy Island and pleasure boat and fishing excursions along the dramatic coastline.
Magnificent sandy beaches at Woolacombe, 5 miles, and Croyde, and the beautiful, evocative landscape of Exmoor National Park are under 15 minutes’ drive, whilst nearby attractions include Arlington Court (NT), Watermouth Castle, a wildlife and dinosaur park and flower bedecked Barnstaple’s famous pannier markets. Shop and pub 200 yards.
